146k miles for 8,000 dollars? Go to www.mr2oc.com and look in the for sale section, you can get a 98k car for 8 grand.

Yeah, it is kind of expensive. I figure I should be able to get them to take 3K off the price. Then it would be a 6k car, which wouldn't be too too bad. I will check out the other board and see what I can find. Thanks

I'm sorry...but either I'm reading this wrong..or you got some fudgy math. 8K minus 3K is 5K. I'd say 6K would be a good price for that car. Looks to be in very nice condition. But if you can..take it for a drive first. That S-AFC makes me suspicious of what kind of "tuning" he's tried to do to it.

Alright...I'm gonna add to mine. I just saw where the car was being sold from. I have been to Denny Dotson in Johnstown a couple times to look at cars. They get some pretty nice ones in there..but definitely high ball. They're usually really good about letting you take the car out for a test drive. If you know when you might be going to look at it, I suggest taking either myself or Touge (chris) since we both have experience with MR2 Turbo's. So just keep us updated!

Wow, thanks for the offer. I'll have to hit you up if I go check it out. I'm looking for a luxury car though but i've always wanted an MR2 and it would look good in the driveway ;D Oh, the price was 8,995.

Damn! 9 grand! Yeah...they always seem to ask a lot more for they're cars. It's nice...but definitely not worth that. But if you ever do go check it out...feel free to hit us up! I could always take you out to see it in my '91 Turbo. Maybe then they'd drop the price!

Hey tbone....just found that mr2 on ebay. Looks like they'll take less than 9K since the reserve has already been met. Good luck!

Looks like someone else will get it then. The car is nice but not for that much. Like Touge-MR said, I should be able to find one with lower miles. That s-afc does kinda make me wonder what kind of tuning they have done since it supposed to have an upgraded turbo.

Yeah...on ebay they're already getting more than I would pay. Plus...way to many unknown's as to the beating that the car has taken. Good luck in the search!

AFC + MR2 = bad.
AFC + MR2 ECU= detonation.

Agreed...AFC's are just not meant for the MR2

9 grand for a modded yellow 93 turbo isnt really that high. i agree AFC's arent the best, but as long as it was used correctly and in conjunction with an FPR, it probably didnt do any harm. if it really has TRD coilovers and is in good shape, its worth the price i think.
also, top speed for a stock geared mr2 turbo is about 150 mph. thats 7K rpms in 5th gear. the car has more than enough power in stock form to get there.
