In the spirit of the Millenium Towing sticky that was posted, I have to warn you all about Accurate Collision Repair & Towing. They have a contract with the City of Columbus, so they answered the call from the police when I ended up on a fire hydrant (swerving to avoid a drunk driver coming into my lane, I ran a curb and the hydrant got lodged under the right front end of my new RSX). Anyway, when they came with the flatbed, instead of jacking the front end up and pulling the hydrant out, the dude wenched it up and dragged my car over the hydrant, causing horrendous damage to the under carriage and buckling out the back bumper when it got caught . He did this in front of the cop, and I basically didn't watch because it was really traumatic for me to see. He then asked where we wanted it to go, we told him X dealership, right down the street on the northwest side. We went to the dealership, he was no where to be found - we called Accurate, was told that the car was on its way to the far east side, and would cost $381 for the tow. Not only did they tell my mother to "shut the fuck up" and "stop fucking interrupting me", they literally STOLE my car. My car has $7,000 worth of damage, $5600 of which is due to the dragging on the hydrant. We're working with my insurance on getting these people to court, and I'll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, but PLEASE heed my warning and NEVER use this company for anything. What a mess.

Like any company they wont like bad publicity, so call one of the local news stations and see if they're interested in your story. If they are they will start bugging the towing company and it will all be public and very messy. This might help grease the wheels a little.

You know that's a great idea. The collision place said they've heard tons of complaints about this place. I'll definitely look into it.
