Saturday night I went to a friends house near Portsmouth. We decided to go to Bw3 for dinner. On the way there I told Adam to find us a nice twisty country road. Well we found some. Just before you get into town there's a small mountain, but the road up and down it is very steep and twisty. For at least a 1/2 mile it's a 7% grade with very sharp turns. Needless to say I went barreling down with excessive speed and slide slightly through 2 of the low 2nd gear turns. Feeling the rear slide out on a fwd car and not being used to this motion I was ecstatic. Adam was nearly pissing himself. The only problem is that I was having so much fun on these roads that I wnet through 2 tanks of gas in 2 days! I couldn't afford to live around where those roads are. It was worth it though.

I'd do it if my friend Jeff were driving. You scare me on regular roads with that car, it'd be suicide with you driving. ;D

My car may have a beam axle but is a decent handling car for a fwd, and there are far better handling cars than yours. Even my friend Jeff who is a pro has a difficult time controlling his mr2 at the limit. If you want, you can race an Evo and see how well dsm's can handle! Regardless of what your driving those roads down there are fun. When you get your mr2 going again we'll go down there together and tear it up.

Officially Diamond Star Motors ended in 93 but they still have the same engine and layout which makes it good enough. Also I was referring to a similiar year like your mr2!!

the 4g63 thats in the evo8 is BARELY the same motor as the DSM 4g63.
And back in 91, you couldnt GET a better deal as far as looks, handling, acceleration, and general performance goes with the MR2 turbo.

If you look at the specs the engine is virtually unchanged from mine. The tdo5h is even still in there. There's been no reason to change something that is so good to begin with. The n/a mr2 was better for handling and the turbo was much more expensive than any dsm. As for looks, to each his own. We'll see how you do in handling when you get your car out to autocross and find out if your skills can back up the talk! ;D

Well, not to correct you.. But the turbo models came with completely different struts and bushings..
