I just saw a commercial for the 05 gto, LS2 making 400 horse and torque, 0 to 60 in 4.7 secs, nice!! I'm guessing this is the Judge package. Still looks too much like a grand prix to me. I just wonder if it will handle worth a damn?

ohh how little you know about faster cars. the 05 GTO is a baseline. the judge....is still coming out. They havent decided on soem stuff. just think of it man. a 500hp GTO....mmmmeeeeewwwwwaaahhhhaaaahhhhaa!! either way..the baseline GTO can still kick the crap outta the stang.
and the new GTO's are very impressive. between the auto and stick......only a tenth of a second seporated there 1/4 mile times. not bad at all. I still beat the 04..and I am very happy

500 hp? you wish. Remember what happened last time gm made a faster vehicle than the vette? The too short lived Typhoon and Syclone.

actually I am sorry. I looked in the GM high tech performance mag at the article again. my mistake. I didnt mean 500hp noi no no. The article says 575HP!!!! biotch!!!
nothing was wrong with the syclone or typhoons. just the tranny had to be rebuilt.
Well the vettes now........baseline were like the old Z06's. the upper level Z07 as I call it will have sub 13sec runs. how do I know this??? I can read

I never said anything was wrong with the Syclone, just that it was too short lived. GM couldn't go on having a truck faster than thier pride and joy vette. If I were you I wouldn't believe every claim made by a magazine. When the car is out believe it. The vette is gm's baby and I doubt they'll make another car in thier line up, but you never know!
ps, i hope the new zo7 will run sub 13 sec runs considering the current zo6 will!

I just read an article in Car and Driver and sales of the GTO are about half of what was expected. Obviously people are not fooled by the the name of a muscle car slapped on a glorified grand prix. You were right on your first guess of 400hp for 05. Though they will be about a 1/2 sec slower that a standard Vette. I got this info directly from a GM rep at the Detroit auto show. The Z06 is being bulged out to a 7 liter making 500hp now, and it only weighs 3130lbs. Just slightly more than an Eclipse GSX, and they look bad ass! I'm not trying to bust your chops, but the new goats are unimpressive and I hope the Chevy variant is nothing like it.

Ben Ben Ben.......It was not a geuss. I am all GM, I know all and see all. The 05 goat runs the quarter in 13.2sec.....faster than the old Trans am's. The new Z06 runs the quarter in 12.00-11.8sec. Which will trash the New Ford GT40. The goat wont have the numbers as the new mustang, but it sure is faster. Also in my point...LOOKS amazing. I have always been a GTO fan. Also when the new Cobra's come out...geuss what will make an appearence....the JUDGE!!! so hows the PEEWEE league goin for ya?

You sure have gotten cocky. Sales of the GTO speak for itself, to each his own on that one. As for the "peewee" league, there are plenty of 4 cylinders in columbus that will hand your ass to you with even less money invested in them. Lets do some autocross and see if your boat can keep up with my beam axle. I can't wait for you to get back down here now, I'm gonna make you eat your words.

I agree he has gotten aweful cocky. Especially for a guy that drives a car that only posseses the ability to race in a straight line. And can barely do that with all its torque steer. Right adam?

well. gee wizzz.
I would be glad to race you in an autocross track. In fact That is what I just put on my car. GMPP adjustable suspension. Chris, I am sure Adam will fill you in on what all comes with this kit. As for Torque steer, that has been fixed with the LSD. buh bye

ok..i have been quiet up until this point because i don't want to hate on anybody on this site...but to even think that your GTP can make it "around" an autocross track let alone post a good time is laughable, and as far as your "gmpp" suspension....you could throw 10k into your suspension and you will still handle like crap...it's a family car...and a domestic one at that....your gettin a little out of hand bro, think before you speak, and as far as the GTO....Pontiac merely took a somewhat good car from Holden Special Vehicals (the HSV GTO) out of Australia and put big stupid cushy seats in it,softened an already soft suspension and slapped a pontiac badge on it and called it a day...i'm not too impressed...and probably won't be
