I love the look of the HKS Carbon Ti muffler but it is very loud and expensive. I can set all the car alarms off in the Easton garages by just accelerating up the ramps. LOL I bought the 60mm tip (versus 75mm) and HKS doesn't make a silencer for the 60mm. The noise won't be an issue on turbo cars but on NA's it is just freakin loud and sounds like buzzing bees until the exhaust warms up. Also, the Carbon Fiber is mostly hidden underneath the car anyways and nobody really notices it so if I replace it I will just go with a titanium tip and save a few bucks. Rating 8 on looks....burnt tip could be more noticeable..like on the cheaper ones Noise Rating...2

I burnt my tips naturally I've been shopping for a new header though, I'm still using the stock manifold, it's not been an easy task to find one for a non-turbo car...go figure? I LOVE driving through the garages there, it's something about those buildings, they just resonate the noise. I put my windows down and tear through there late at night on the weekends, setting off at least 2 alarms on the way to the top, then back down again...awesome time, good clean fun, just watch out for traffic, or do it really late at night.

I almost got the Carbon/Ti for my evo but it necked down at the cat to 2.5 in. Hey Jack3KGT, have you thought of maybe trying a 3g eclipse header...are they the same motor?

I'm not sure it would work or not, I don't think they're the same, but i may be wrong. I'll have to look into that, someone on 3si.org should know...
I just found a new downpipe for sale before Christmas at 3SX Performance, they engineered and custom made one for a N/A application, which will fit cars with and without pre-cats, and or California emmissions. They have 4 variations of the same header because there are as many setups for the different stealth/3K models.
I'm looking at having a race pre-cat on the front end for back-pressure, then using a race cat from 3SX in between that and the rear section, which will dump into my current stainless setup which is basically mandrel bent stainless pipe all the way back.
