I'm looking to repaint my car black, which is the origonal color. Anybody know any good places who are willing to do it for a realitively inexpensive price? I dont know anyone that paints, nor know much about it myself.

How much do most places charge for a paintjob (not like maaco)? I need one as well but I also want just a fresh stock black coat nothing fancy. My car could use a little body work here and there.

I've been quoted anywhere from $1200-$2000 for my entire car to be painted. A guy I work with quoted me the $1200, he just works out of his garage, but he only does it in the winter time when were off.

Last summer the paint on my roof had worn through to the bare metal. I had to get it fixed fast for cheap. I took it to Maaco and they did a decent job. They use PPG paint, they just don't usually clear coat. But for $100 it's been worth it till I can get the whole car painted with a good paint job. I'm thinking GM Electron Blue that was on the Corvettes.
