Actually these aren't new. It was the first thing I did to my car. Power slot rotors and Hawk pads all around. But yesterday I found out how tough they are. My right front caliper froze up and I didn't know. I think I drove a mile or 2, but at freeway speeds a lot of damage can be done in a short time. Well today Fuzz and I took everything apart and to my surprise no damage done! Considering the wheel was scalding hot before I thought for sure the pads had glassed over, but they didn't. So if you need a brake upgrade, power slots and hawk pads are the way to go. I can attest to how tough they are. Besides, no matter how fast your car is, if you can't stop you're screwed!

I love the way the hawks feel, what type are you running ben?...HP's? and i would say they may be a little too aggresive for street driving....intial bite on the HP's is rowdy, but it's good to know that they last awhile...i thought they would wear out quick....how are the rotors holding up?

I think they're the street pads, but I don't remember for sure, and it turns out the rotor is slightly warped, so it needs replaced. Other than that the brakes are great, I've had them on since June last year and the pads still look fairly new, and don't throw out much dust especially considering I abuse them quite a bit.

I think they were around $50 for the front set and $40 for the rears, but don't quote me on it, that was a year and a half ago. The best brake pads I ever had was a brand called "Rofren" that I bought at passen, but I havn't seen them since. The Hawks are very good though.
