Alright, so I wanna add a shift boot and a new shift knob to my car. To give it a nice "manual" look so I can trick people into thinking I'm cooler then I really am. Yet, I'm not big on the idea of pulling out the shift plate thing. I don't really know that much about cars and I'm kind of afraid I'll mess something up. I wanna get it to look something like this... Anyone have any ways that will be really easy or maybe whilling to help out?

You would probably have to go on your accord forums to find out about your specific year. But that does look pretty good.

You should add a third pedal to make people think your cooler than they are...... But only you will know its just an extra left foot foot rest.

And every time I park the car, just put it in neutral and pull the e-break. It'll be the ultimate fake manual.

Why not just do the conversion while you're at it? Put in a 5-speed, be the coolest cat on the block!
Honda's are simple, that seems like a simple enough mod...I've got to get on those honda sites every time i need to fix or mofify something...I have a FrankenPrelude...made of many American and JDM parts...so good times at the parts store!

Mainly because this conversion will cost me 40 bucks at most. The 5-speed would cost me like 1000-1500 dollars or so. I don't have that kind of money and I'm paying monthly payments on it, hence why my car is pretty much stock. Plus, on these kind of accords, 5-speed and 6-speed conversitions have been known to not work very well.

Gotcha, wasn't aware of an issue with the Accords...In all Honesty, You're really just better off to go buy the car you want first, you'll really be happier once it's completed, you won't have to say it's a fake manual, ever.
I only say this because I had a VW Jetta VR6 that was pimped, and the only thing I didn't like about the car was the fact it was an Automatic. I could shift it manually and everything, it was adaptive, really a great transmission, but I still didn't like it, it wasn't a manual deep-down. It's all in the details man, you'll be happier at the end of the day.

Ya I know, as much as I want a manual. I just dont think I'm whilling to put forth the effort to try and get one.
I'm very content with my auto, though I would take a stick any god given day. I love my car and I dont really want to change.
Plus, their are times when an automatic comes in handy.

Ok, dont really wanna double post. But no one will check if I dont.
Anyone know if a generic boot from like walmart or something will work or does it have to be a said accord boot?

I have the ultimate hook up on these things. I bought a set from an eBay seller last year, didn't want anything special, and figured i'd give this little mom and pop operation a chance...but they ended up being nicer than OEM, and most "tuner" version ones for sale on ebay and at the auto part stores ricer sections. They sell them in pairs, and they come in at least a dozen colors. I got a set of black leather with red stitching, it looks better than the JDM Type-R ones that came stock in the Integra, I am very happy with them, I got a set for my Prelude, and one set for my mom's Del Sol, they look great, and it makes a big change to the interior over-all appearance. Anyhow, for like $24 shipped to your door, you get a leather shifter boot and e-brake cover. I'd buy from them again for sure. Here's the link to the eBay store stores.ebay.com/Tellyztunerz-Custom-Car-Interiors

Then I gotta bother installing it, which I'm not really up for. Anyone know of a cheap, nicer automatic shift knob? I was trying to find one similar to the picture at the beginning of this post. Yet, all I've found are red and blue ones.

I'll try to take pics of before, during, and after...maybe i'll do a write up on here on how-to replace them, it's not hard. They're all essentially the same in most other cars too, I put new ones in my 3000GT before i sold it.
I have not got my new ones yet or i'd post pics, i'll do a side by side comparison when they come in, i still have the old OEM boots, they're shit compared to the new ones.
For the Auto shift knob, maybe google for a Honda forum and see if anyone has info on doing the conversion. There has to be info out there somewhere for it. I've never done it, but i'm SURE someone else has before. I'm a member of a honda-engine-swap site too, it's great for answering these kinds of questions, lots of knowledge to be shared...good luck!

I actually found a site with a decent write up on how to do the swap. I'm just kind of nervous about ripping up my center area around the shifter.
