I figured id put to rest the critisism (from the only person on earth to critisize the 3sgte..)
Ben, this is simply to prove you wrong; to put to rest your side of the argument.
Stock 3SGTE pistons & rods w/203,000 miles can handle 27.8 psi of boost
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just thought I would throw that out there in case anyone cares.
The engine is not blown ... idling like champ and still sounds very mean.
We only got three runs in because the track was obscenely busy.
We ran: 25.5 psi, 26.8 psi and 27.8 psi ... never had a chance for more.
Oh, and I never put oil in from the last track day so the oil light was on all day

Dont ever give me shit about my motor being anything close to the reliability of a DSM. My motor seems to be one in a million (and it figures i would get it)

I have no secrets ... the times are posted in the drag forum.
We were having a lot of issues, so I did not go faster than the 11.1 I did last time out. Stock motor, bolt-ons only

These pulls were done in 3rd gear on a mustang dyno. The lag is fairly large as I dont get 200ft.lbs. of torque until 4400rpm's. But this motor was completely unopened and not even really tuned. I kept the S-AFC at "0" until over 5,000rpm's where I just added in 4%. My AFR's were extremely conservative as I kept it between 10.2 and 10.8 from 5,000rpm's onward. I think with an EMS and proper tune it should put it around 4,000rpm's for 200ft.lbs. This is a corrected dyno and I was at about 4,000ft. above sea level so take that into account. I dont know what that number would be, but I imagine in the 290-300rwhp area on only 17psi with just a few bolt ons. Sure this turbo is about as laggy as a T-67, but it is performing very well at low boost too. All this was done on 91 octane pump gas as well. Here are my mods list:
50 trim T4, .70a/r turbine
Apexi GTspec Exhaust
Greddy Intercooler
Blitz Intake
Blitz Flywheel
S-AFC(the original ghetto one)
Supra fuel pump
Completely unopened motor, no cams, no nothing as far as VE changes except for the external bolt ons. Please remember this is a GEN3 motor which has a higher stock VE than a gen2 motor due to cams and intake manifold.

I've got several to post up:
Mods on test car: CT27, 20 psi 98 octane gas (50/50 mix of 93 and 104), Autronic, 550cc injectors, ATS fuel rail, Supra fuel pump, KO Racing downpipe, JE pistons, Greddy PE exhaust, ATS Cam Gears (still set to ZERO), ATS TB inlet, Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller, Gutted TVIS. Greddy Intercooler with Spal fan. STOCK: HEAD, CAMSHAFTS, VALVES The motor does have forged pistons, but they are stock compression and no additional internal modificatrions.
Mods on test car: 22 psi 98 octane (50/50 mix ox 93 + 104), Apexi Intake, CT27 + rom + 550cc combo package, Greddy IC, KO 3" dual exhaust, Greddy boost controller (The $800 one) 93 JDM engine/tranny.
93 MR2 with 93 octane PUMP GAS. 17 psi. ATS TD05 20G + ecu + fuel combo package, Greddy Power Extreme, Greddy intercooler, Greddy Boost controller, and Apexi' Intake.
