I have finally seen it happen. Normally I am looking around not aware that it is gonna happen. I usually hear it then I look and realize what happened, but today I was looking at this car full of young kids who where attracting alot of attention to themselves. I was waiting for the light to change when I saw them pull out into the intersection. At that moment time stopped. I said to myself "That truck is gonna hit that car". Then it hit. I didn't blink or look away. I saw the hit. I almost was happy that I saw it happen at the time, but I realized that someone could've been hurt. I was gonna get out and help but everyone got out of the car and walked to the sidewalk, and there was a cop there that saw it happen. It happened so fast that I could have missed it in a blink of an eye. I'm surprised that it is so dramatic when you see something like that happen Twenty feet from you. It doesn't look that bad on TV compared to real life. Has anyone else ever seen a wreck from the first mistake to the aftermath like that before?

Shoot man, my 3000GT was hit 3 times last year...bringing my total of accidents i've been involved in to 10 or 11 now, 3 while I was behind the wheel, ZERO being my fault... It's the other drivers you have to watch...especially the young ones...

I've seen quite a few accidents happen and I've also been invovled in one. Thankfully for me I guess, my accident happend at speeds lower then 10mph. Crashing at 45-50mph or being hit by someone going that speed. I just think that would scare the living shit out of me

It will, wait until you have a blow-out at higher speeds...you'll need some new pants. I broke a tie-rod once, on I-80 outside of Hartford, Conn...in the middle of a winter storm in January, spun out in heavy traffic, hit a guardrail, destroyed my car ($5000 worth of damage to a $2000 car, you do the math). When the cops were clearing it all up, this other car came out of nowhere, skidded out of control, hit the cop car i was standing next to, hit the back of my car, and then pushed it all into the tow truck, and nearly killed a state trooper standing next to me who ended up in the hospital that night...my car got fixed for free I went dodging through oncoming traffic to get the hell out of the way, playing human frogger...that was way too much fun. That guy hit so hard it bent the tow bars on the tow truck and they had to call 3 more to clean it all up. I waited 4 days to get my car back, then drove home, and haven't returned to anywhere north of NYC in years. The scary part, that wasn't the worst one i've been in...

I'm afraid to ask what the worse one is...

I was driving my sister's 89 Mustang LX on my way to school early in the morning, about 8am, and some lady in a hurry wasn't paying attention... There were 6 cars involved in it, happened here in Columbus, about 8 years ago.
I was the last of all of the cars to get hit, and it still totalled the car out...it hit hard as hell and i saw it coming in the rear view...nothing you can do. I had a van in front of me, which amazingly i DIDN'T hit...but i was screwed, brace for the hit and get ready for pain.
The police estimated the speed of the mini-van who started the accident at about 60-70Mph on South Hamilton Road...the engine was knocked back almost sitting in the middle of the van. It rear-ended the car in front of it crushing it like a pop-can, which was sitting in line stopped at a red light, with 5 more cars in front of it.
The driver of the mini-van said she had the "sun in her eyes"...buy some sunglasses eh? She just wasn't paying attention, you could see the intersection clear as day for over a mile in both directions.
Total that day, I think 5 people went to the hospital, stupid careless driving...
