How to "back up" your personal DVD collection: By Touge-MROnce you buy a laptop/desktop with a DVD burner, find out if its a + or - DVD burner, and buy some DVD+ or DVD- blanks accordingly. 1. Download DVD Decrypter. www.soft32.com/download_75586.html 2. Download DVD Shrink www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/CD-DVD-Rip-Other-Tools/DVD-Shrink.shtml 3. Either "Buy" Nero Burning Rom, or download a "Demo" versoin here: ts.searching.com/search.asp?h=F8F798D49010436895B3377E8CE8CB0B&query=nero 4. Install all 5. Insert the DVD you want to "back up" 6. Run DVD Decrypter. Select a folder for it to save to and hit the big CD > [hard drive] icon. 7. Open DVD Shrink. Find the files you just ripped from the DVD (wherever you saved them to) and select the .ifo file in DVD Shrink. You can also try bypassing step 6 all together, but this only works half the time. 8. Open Nero Burning Rom. At the start screen, select that you want to burn a DVD by clicking the drop down menu in the upper left hand corner. Once set to DVD's, choose the "DVD Video" option. Once selected, hit the button to the right that says "new". Now double click on the Red "VIDEO TS" folder so that it opens in the small window on the middle-left. Drag all the files that you ripped from the DVD into that window. Once youre done, hit the image of the CD next to a Match (or select Recorder > Burn compilation). Congrats, youve made a burned CD. *retarded yay*
