Well, in light of the accelerated speed of my Project: SW20, i want to put on a cruise (a major event) to the legendary "Tail of the Dragon", which is supposed to be the Nurburgring of North America.
Hopefully my car will be done for this one!! If its not, however, I'm still down for rockin out in someone ELSE's car aaaaaaalllllll the way down there. This will be an event to remember the rest of my life if it happens.
This is officially Highway 129, and is located on the line of North Carolina and Tennessee. This is the official website's map, which you can find more information on here:

Heres a map that my personal GPS program mapped out for me, which looks a little more clear and makes a little more sense.

I am hoping to do a big cruise down to the spot, then run the legendary course in a cruise. According to my GPS (assuming gas prices are 3/gallon, and your vehicle gets 15mpg city, 22mpg highway), Here are the trip specs from Here down to the Tail of the Dragon.
As you can see, its 7 hours of driving time (which is NOTHING people, I've been doing it once every 2-3 months the past 10 years).
If we leave at around 10am, we will arrive at 5pm.
Finding good deals on Hotel rooms is always an easy job for me, but obviously i cant house everyone. There are so many cheap hotels at Deal's Gap, NC. Just check the website.
And 60 bucks in gas ain't NOTHIN!!!
Well, what do you guys think? I was thinking of inviting CR as well, make this one huge summer event before the nice weather is done for the year..
