You need money just to ponder that idea. Last time I checked you were still searching for a job.

theres 4-5 places that have kits and there all over$10,000 but im going to do it old school with my own hands and built from scratch with the help of a few friends and having a few beers and having fun doin it but theres to much bad attention drawn to everyone on the scene already so im just trying to get the thoughts of everybody on here cuz i dont want to bring any more negitive attention and joe jobs not the probelm i still am not "by law allowed to drive" not that it stops me i just have to keep up to date on my insurance and quit forgeting to pay for it but thats the main thing stoping this little project so far ive got a buddy who has an old shop and a lift whos willing to let me use it

Im telling you right now, for the kind of money youre about to invest in a FORD FOCUS you could have an MR2 turbo, or an integra-R... A big boy car. Hear what im saying? Dropping a V8 into that sloppy dick chassis Ford Focus 4dr will get you: -HORRIBLE understeer -Uncontrolable torque steer -Shitty cornering In fact, i cant THINK of an upside. Your best bet, in my seasoned opinion, is to keep that car as a good reliable daily driver and invest your money into a real car. You will end up wasting your time and most importantly your money, and you will regret it.

Amen. Use it as a daily driver, and buy a real big boy car.. I owned 3 Mustang GT's, a 302 isn't actually all that fast...upgrade to a 5.8 at least if you're doing all that work, if it'll fit. Don't get me wrong because in the day in 1988 they were out running a lot on the street, but not now, they're old news. Fords reliability leaves a little something to be desired as well, so if you do a custom swap like that, be prepared to work on it EVERY time you want to drive it, trust me, been there, sold my Fords because of that. I like working on my cars, just not every day...I'm just trying to save you the headaches i dealt with. If you're still dedicated to this project, do yourself a favor and buy the kit from Kugel www.kugelkomponents.com/ They have a Twin Turbo 5.8L 351 kit...go big or go home. Back in i think it was 2002, they put out a v8 version of the focus that was converted in an aftermarket factory, similar to Roush and Saleen... You might have better chances picking one up used and modifying it, might be a way to save some of the fabrication costs as well, or you could just go buy an old 5.0 for about $2500 and start with that? Good luck...

i know it wont handel for shit but i love my car even though "its not a big boy car" and i love v8s so to me it wont be a waste of time and money and no no one ever sold a rear wheel drive focus ford racing made one to show off their 5.0l crammer motor and they now sell a kit but it cost $14,000 plus it only fits the focus RS which they never sold here and production was limited so its just as hard to find one over there
