it all depends what is most important to you...
for driveability and power under the curve, displacement or a blower is the only way to go.
for stupid power, its turbo.
i still think my favorite car ive ever driven as far as useable power goes, was my friends integra GSR with a blower and nitrous. he had a fully built motor and a smaller pulley, then had the nitrous solenoid open as soon as VTEC kicked in. it was a rush. that thing made the nastiest sound ive ever heard.
he then decided to go turbo for more power. and while top end is re-donk-ulous, its boring as hell on the street. on the highway though, it will beat a C6 vette at half throttle. i dont find that fun though.
i like instant power. however, i also like having to work for it a little. not "6K rpm honda" work for it, but not just stomp on it in 5th gear and go (read big displacement) either. just maybe a quick downshift to hit the middle of the rpms range for when peak boost is hitting.
i dont like big turbos...i like lightning quick spool. luckily technology is starting to come around where you can begin to have your cake (big power) and eat it too (quick spool).

Two GT35R's for the ultra-win.
I've had many of them - a s/c (on an 03 Cobra), spray on a s/c (the 03 Cobra), a whole lot of spray (on the Z06), and a turbo (on an older DSM) - and they all have their advantages.
The downside to N20 is that it's not always there - you have to turn in on and keep it on for it to work. And once the bottle is empty, you're fun is over with. The upside is that it's the best power adder when it comes to bang-for-the-buck.
Superchargers are great because they provide a low of lower-end power and torque. Also, they're always "on" (i.e., you don't have to go to a filling station every weekend to refill your s/c like you do with nitrous). A downside is that superchargers are less efficient than turbos - there's more parasitic loss. Additionally, they generate a lot more heat than do turbos - and heat = loss of power.

Yeah i would have to agree, nitrous does its job for the dollar..
Superchargers generate more heat than turbochargers? Thats interesting..

That is direct from garrett. Only an idiot would install a turbo on a car and not fully disassemble it first to make sure it was clean and lubricated.

oh and packing peanuts do not really help when your turbo weights 40 lbs. Garrett does not use packing peanuts.

Nitrous for the win I think. You can adjust it to how big or how little you wanna go. Plus since I got my own filling station I can refill as much as I want.
