The block is not going to Japan, it's for sale from a guy who works at Dennis. Ray got the car back already and it's finally running decent.

Good god man, i feel your pain. I had a similar situation in 2001 with Hatfield Volkswagen. It turned out so badly that I sold my car and swore off VW's forever because of them. The short version is that my car was in for an oil change and scheduled 10k service when someone at the dealership decided it would be cool to take a joyride in my VR6...since it had a ton of aftermarket parts and custom pieces...and they wrecked it, the whole drivers side was no longer origonal to the car, and the paint didn't match at all. I get it back 3 days later thrown back together and shottily painted...and i called them out.
After my lawyer raised all kinds of hell, things were never resolved and i let it go. I had no "proof" that they did it other than the condition of my destroyed and defiled car, I subpoena'd records from the dealer and from the factory in Mexico, i went to extreme lengths to get these people and failed...total heartbreak man, i've been there... Hope yours does better than mine...
And please, for the love of god, don't buy anything from Hatfield Volkswagen and DO NOT USE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!! You'll thank me later.
