hi all....friend of mine is getting a stage 2 turbo kit for her RSX....thing is, she has her choice between 3 different turbos and i would like to get some opinions from you all to help her out. the turbo options are a T3/T4; 60-1; and 62-1. the engine these would be going on is a K20A3 motor, which is pushing about 160hp stock and has a 9.0:1 compression ratio. the kit is rated to give her between 350-370whp. also, the kit is a mix and match as far as brands go, but it includes the intercooler and everything. the website can be found at www.cybernationmotorsports.com so if you guys know what brand and such of these turbos and have any comments, lemme know so i can help her get the best turbos for her application. thanx!

Those are some pretty serious kits. If she still has stock internals the t3/t4 will be more than enough. Not much info is available about the turbos them sleves but the rest is quality parts, and unless she pushes the turbo reliability shouldn't much of an issue. Start small and work your way up. Don't forget the cost for engine management and the dyno time she'll ned for tuning.

ya, shes pretty much alllll stock internally, so the T3/T4 will do u say? ill pass along the word....as far as the engine managment goes, i thought it came with one in the kit, maybe i was mistaken? and yes, i will relay the message to get in tuned ASAP, although in the akron area i have absolutely no idea where a tuner shop is...but i guess ill have to look around

Tell her not to run any more than 6-7psi if shes running 9:1 compression with stock internals.. i see another honda disaster on its way.

you guys know any good sites for internals? ever since NOPI's website went down ive had a hard time finding any actual engine internal websites? assuming she can get decent internals what would be a safe PSI for her? somewhere in the 12-17 range?

On stock internals 5-7 psi id say. For more boost lower compression pistons will be needed. Just do a search, theres lots of aftermarket for those cars.

ya....ive been doing searches and found some performance parts, but most of the site are all "make ur car rice!"....if im looking for the lower compression pistons what brand would you recomend? ive already pointed her to skunk2 turbo cams and gears, i know i need the pistons....what else would u recomend to be able to run safely at about the 15psi range after tuning?

There's Crower, Eagle, Wiseco, Carillo, JE, lots of companies that probably make parts for her car. The american name companies may be new to the sport compacts but have been making aftermarket longer than some of these car companies have been around and they make good stuff. I did a quick search on google for "RSX connecting rods" and got lots of results, so keep searching.
