Everyones got there own things they like. A daytona alone is pretty rare but a turboed one is even more rare. I think its pretty cool he did that stuff. Plus a turboed 5 speed beats the hell out of a crap engine with 220k miles.
Curious though, have you taken it on the road yet and what not? Hows it run?

That is quite an optimistic plan, Interesting choice of vehicle too; why not choose a simpler car for your first build? Sure, simpler cars are more common and have been done by more people, but it's a good thing that it's been done by more people too, because there's more knowledge and good guides on the net to help walk you through tough issues...as they will arise... I understand you want to be unique, but you are also limiting yourself in performance options, not to mention what you can find will be a bit pricier, due to a lack of availability. Just my 2 cents...I had enough problems working on my old 5.0 Mustangs, and they are damn simple.

My personal oppinion, ditch that POS and buy a honda. They make great first project cars.

Yeah, I agree... Honda/Acura are good learning cars, then if you're still set on the Daytona, then tear into it and make it a big project.
You can go broke really fast, just don't bite off more than you can chew. I've built German, Japanese, and American sports cars...
More importantly though, do it right the first time, buy what parts and pieces you want, and do it the way that will make you happy, or else, you'll have a car you're never truly happy with.
