1987 TOYOTA MR2
Purchase History
It all started back in September of 2003 when I had saved up about $1600 to buy a new car. I was driving a 1989 VW Jetta and getting tired of it. I was looking on Ebay and the newspaper for something that I could afford and have fun with when I came across a 1984 Posrche 944. I am really big into Porsches so I though I would check it out. It was in Ashley Oh. So I made a road trip. The car needed a fuel filter¡Kok so I spend like $1500 for the car and 20 bucks and drive it off. Well when I went to install the filter and get the title the guy didn¡¦t have it. With a broken heart I got back in the Columbus Dispatch thinking of 80¡¦s cars that could be fun¡Kthinking of supras and rx7s I came a across a MR2?? I had really no idea what a MR2 was or looked like except that the engine was in the back! I called the number and talked to the owner and ended up meeting him at work at a fire station in Grove City. When I pulled into the parking lot I had no idea what I was looking for and my mom ended up pointing it out to me. I was shocked by the look of the car¡K.full of rust, faded paint, total POS. lol¡Kbut from that first day that I saw it I was dreaming of motor swaps and superchargers. I ended up buying the car the next day for a whoppin¡¦ $950! Since then I have dropped about $6,000 into the car to get it to its current state!
BTW¡K.the reason for the dark blue hood and bumper is because I was involved in a 3 car pile up 2 days after I bought the car. ƒ¼
