I am about to start modding my jeep and I need to find a place to get my 1/4 mile times,trap,ect... I live in Pataskala and would drive to the best place...thanks for the help

National Trails, in Kirkersville, that would be my recommendation...it's on your doorstep. It's sanctioned by the NHRA, and a really nice track. Usually they do 2 nights a week of test and tune, which is what you are talking about...getting your time slips, running down the track a few times. Go there, pay like $10 or $20 and get your safety inspection done, then you're ready to race...check out the site for them below. www.nationaltrailraceway.com/ |

Thats exactly what I needed...thnx. I thought that was what test and tune meant..Do you know if I will need a helmit? Anyway thanks...

Not in your case, you won't need a helmet unless you're running really fast. Under some circumstances you are required to, but the last time I raced there, in 2003, they didn't require one.
One thing you will need though is to be wearing long pants, they require it for safety, so no shorts...I found out the hard way the first time, it sucked!
Only when you run under 10 seconds in a quarter mile, I believe that is where the safety restrictions kick in for a helmet and roll-cage, etc...
