yyyea...as far as I know he still has the accord too, I've seen him drive that around also. I porbably would have sold the NSX as well and spent the $$ on another car and parts, either way though he's still lucky!

Yup, 4th gear synchro is shot. He's been meaning to fix it but he said the labor is $200/h and I'm guessing 8-12 hours to rebuild it. I guess they figure if you can afford $90k for the car you can afford the maintenance!

I have a buddy with a 95 red NSX in the area. Names Gerry, almost certain he isn't the same person as you guys are referring too.

In his defense, he deserves that car, he took a huge leap paying $6000 for a car with no wheels and no key to try to start it.
I know the Red NSX guy, and his dad, just from talking at the meets, and they got damn lucky with that, they told me the story about a year ago of how they came to aquire that car. They knew someone at the impound, found out about the car, and decided it would be a nice project car even if it didn't run. The son had been driving an older Caprice Classic Woody Wagon that he and his father rebuilt, and if i remember correctly, it was a very quick car for it's weight. So they ended up knowing someone with a spare set of NSX OEM Wheels that he got for super cheap as well, and getting a key cut at the dealer off of the VIN number....it started...how cool was that? The only problems were the paint scratches, and that synchro from all I know....I don't think I could complain about that though for a $80,000+ car for so cheap. Sign me up for the next one...

Yep, anyway you look at it he practically stole that car. Even in it's condition it's prolly worth $25k to $30k.
